Salomon won a pair of No. 2 singles matches to land his second consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week award. The first-year Mountaineer dropped the first set of his match against Howard’s Devard Wharton, but rallied for a three-set victory (1-6, 6-4, 6-1) that tipped the team result in Mount St. Mary’s favor. Helping the Mount to another 4-3 team triumph, Salomon cruised past Igor Neves of NEC rival Robert Morris, 6-3, 6-1. Now sporting a 13-3 dual match record at No. 2 singles, Salomon has been a major contributor to his team’s turnaround from three wins last season to its current 10-6 mark.
