Babic went undefeated in both singles as doubles play last week to retain the NEC Player of the Week award. The Long Island senior cruised past Sacred Heart’s Kate Donnelly at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-2, as the Blackbirds topped their NEC rival by a 5-2 score. She contested only a No. 1 doubles match, winning 8-0, in LIU’s 4-1 team triumph over Saint Peter’s.
