Fisher unleashed a record-shattering mark in the hammer throw at the Monmouth Hawk Outdoor Opener. The sophomore thrower took a commanding lead over the Northeast Conference in her signature event and topped Monmouth’s program record, which was formerly held by Katie Pachuta, by nearly five feet. Fisher’s top distance of 54.51m (178’ 10”) surpasses the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships by more than 3.50 meters. Had Fisher thrown that mark at the 2009 NEC Championship meet, she would have won the title with more than 5.00 meters to spare.
