Worthington took the ball in Sunday’s finale with Mount St. Mary’s needing a victory to secure a series win over NEC rival Quinnipiac, and the senior did more than deliver. Worthington tossed a complete-game no-hitter as the Mount cruised to an 18-0 triumph. The 6-foot-2 right-hander struck out nine batters over 9.0 hitless innings to notch the first complete game of his career and the first win of his senior season. Worthington issued five walks, but did not allow a runner to reach second base until the ninth inning.
