O’Connor opened the outdoor season by throwing her way into the ECAC Championship and to the top of the NEC performance list. Competing at the Charlotte 49ers Classic, O’Connor put the shot 13.74m (45’ 1”) to finish second to only North Carolina State’s Lawanda Henry amongst a field of 37 competitors. Her mark surpassed the ECAC qualifying standard by 14 centimeters and ranks first in the NEC.
