DeCruise posted a strong season-opening double in the 100m and 200m dashes at the Wake Forest Open. Her 200-meter time of 24.63 placed her ninth amongst her a competitive field, but, more importantly, qualified the third-year Mountaineer for the ECAC Outdoor Championships. She won a silver medal for her 100-meter performance, crossing the line in 12.26 during the final. Her 100m preliminary time was faster, 12.22, but still a bit shy of the ECAC qualifying standard.
