McEwan makes her fourth appearance as the NEC Rookie of the Week thanks to her team-leading performance at Vanderbilt’s Music City Classic. The freshman posted the top frame average (19.23) of any Fairleigh Dickinson bowler as the Knights finished fifth overall amongst a highly-competitive field. Only one of two Knights to start all 15 matches during the weekend, McEwan filled 81.9 percent of the 144 frames she bowled. She converted 42.9 percent of strike attempts and successfully made 69.9 percent of her spares. McEwan’s six-game traditional average (194.0) ranked 17th out of 160 individuals at the tournament. She reached the 200-pin mark four times on the meet’s first day, including a 230 in FDU’s 929-850 victory over NEC rival Kutztown and a 218 in the Knights’ 876-759 defeat of Hampton.
