Pelletier powered the Pioneers to their highest team finish at a tournament this season. Spearheading Sacred Heart’s third-place showing at Vanderbilt’s annual Music City Classic, the southpaw posted a 19.67 overall frame average. She converted 51 percent of her strike attempts throughout the three-day meet and filled 123 of 138 (.891) frames. Pelletier was especially spectacular in championship bracket play on Sunday when she was asked to occupy the anchor position. Making a seamless transition into the fifth spot of SHU’s lineup, Pelletier filled all but 3 of 30 frames while helping Sacred Heart to victories over nationally-ranked foes Central Missouri and Arkansas State. She threw 24 strikes in 41 attempts while accounting for a one-day baker frame average of 21.4. On the meet’s first day, which consisted of traditional play, Pelletier posted a 194.2 average over six games. That average included the match-high 213 she bowled in an eight-pin triumph over MEAC power Delaware State.
