Thresher earned his first individual win of the spring season this week, taking the top spot in the field of 47 at the Lonnie Barton Memorial Invitational hosted by Long Island University in Savannah, GA. Thresher took the field with a two-round 150. The senior led the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish. The Connecticut native’s day-one score of 77 put him in fourth, but the senior shot a 73 Tuesday, going just one over par for the overall individual win. This is his third NEC Men’s Golfer of the Week honor for the 2009-10 season and the first of the spring.
