Scribner made for a memorable collegiate debut by putting the finishing touches on Sacred Heart’s 16-13 victory over Saint Bonaventure in Lakeland, FL. The rookie right-hander took the ball with one out in the eighth inning of a game that had seen more than its fair share of big hits. Slamming the door shut on the Bonnies, Scribner twirled 1.2 innings of perfect baseball to earn his first career save. He retired all five men to face him, two via strikeout. Scribner is the young brother of 2006 All-NEC First Team pitcher Evan Scribner, who was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 28th Round of the 2007 MLB Draft following his career at Central Connecticut State.
