Meade appeared to be in mid-season form as Central Connecticut State opened its 2010 schedule with a three-game set at Navy. A key reason why the Blue Devils scored 21 runs in three games, the senior first baseman hit .583 (7-for-12) and slugged 1.167. Meade accounted for at least two hits and two runs batted in during each of the three contests. He opened the series by going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI in the first half of Saturday’s doubleheader. He blasted his first home run of the season as part of a 2-for-4, three-RBI showing in the second half of the double dip. Meade belted another home run in Sunday’s series finale during which he went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI. He totaled seven hits, seven RBI, and four runs scored over the three-game span.
