Markison has yet to lose a match, in both singles and doubles play, since the spring semester began. Helping Quinnipiac open the championship season with three consecutive team victories last week, the third-year Bobcat won all three of her No. 3 singles contests in dominating fashion. Markison did not drop a single game in a rout of Fordham’s Bethany Boyle. She did not need much time to move past Villanova’s Alexandra Harding either, triumphing 6-1, 6-3. Her latest win was also of the straight-sets variety as she eased past Hartford’s Nicole Haynal, 6-1, 6-0. Markison’s singles record for the 2009-10 academic year now stands at a robust 8-1.
