Womack closes out the regular season by notching her third consecutive Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week award, and the fifth of her freshman campaign. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals over a pair of Northeast Conference contests. Womack poured in a team-high 23 points, which came on 8-of-13 shooting, to lift the Hawks over defending NEC champion Sacred Heart in the regular season finale. Spearheading a winning effort that allowed the Hawks to clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament, Womack victimized the Pioneers with 12 points in the game’s final 10:00. She accounted for seven points during a 13-4 second-half run that gave Monmouth the lead for good. Two days earlier, Womack tallied seven points and six rebounds in a nine-point setback at Quinnipiac. Keeping her miscues to a minimum, she turned the ball over only twice in two games. Monmouth’s leading scorer (12.9 ppg) is the NEC’s top-ranked rookie in terms of points per game.
