Piergiovanni posted a team-best 18.84 frame average while leading the Terriers to an 8-2 record and fourth-place finish at the Morgan State Invitational. Her 200.4 traditional game average was the best of any Northeast Conference bowler at the meet and the second-highest overall. Only Nebraska’s Cassie Leuthold accounted for a better average than Piergiovanni who topped the 200-pin mark three times in five games. Her high game of 267 powered St. Francis (NY) to a convincing 1027-888 win over NEC rival Adelphi. Only one of two Terriers to start all 10 matches during the event, Piergiovanni accounted for a .774 filled frames percentage. The first-year Terrier rolled 44 strikes in 93 attempts (.473). Piergiovanni is the third different St. Francis (NY) bowler this season to earn NEC Rookie of the Week honors (Kristina Terpo, Marissa Gargiulo).
