Gargiulo posted the top frame average (22.07) of any competitor at the Northeast Conference’s spring semester meet. The St. Francis freshman amassed a total pinfall of 2,163 over 98 completed frames. Gargiulo started all seven of the team’s traditional games and exceeded the 200-pin mark against a pair of opponents ranked in the national Top 10. Her 203 game helped power the Terriers past No. 7 Adelphi and the 252 she bowled against No. 4 Fairleigh Dickinson was the second-best single-game performance by a St. Francis bowler this past weekend. Gargiulo accounted for a 198.0 traditional average and was even more impressive during the baker play portion of the meet. The NEC Rookie of the Week twice strung together eight straight marks in baker play on her way to an astronomical 28.89 baker frame average. Gargiulo struck 47 times in 99 attempts during the two-day event. She left only 20 open frames, 12 of which were splits.
