With the 2010 Northeast Conference Championship only days away, Losey appears ready for a run at reclaiming the NEC Indoor Most Outstanding Track Performer award she won in 2008 but surrendered to LIU’s Jessie Gaines last winter. Losey heads into the championship meet having captured three of the last four Road Runner Sports NEC Track Athlete of the Week awards. She claims her latest honor by virtue of her 60-meter performance at last weekend’s Lafayette-Rider Winter Games. The senior sprinter finished second by clocking in at 7.68s, 0.01 behind UMBC’s Britney Forman. Losey’s time bests the ECAC qualifying standard and is her best of the season at that distance.
