Elardo threw himself into the Northeast Conference lead for the 32 lb. weight throw event. Far surpassing the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships, the third-year Hawk recorded a distance of 17.47m (57’ 3.75”) at Penn State’s Sykes-Sabock Challenge. Elardo also surpassed the IC4A standard with his shot put performance at Penn State, but did not top the NEC-leading mark of 17.60m (57’ 9”) posted earlier this season.
