Navarro becomes the second Monmouth Hawk in two weeks to capture the Road Runner Sports NEC Track Athlete of the Week award. Following in the footsteps of classmate Chris Rutherford, Navarro earns his second weekly honor of the season after posting a pair of IC4A-qulaifying performances at the Boston University Terrier Classic. The sophomore sprinter won the meet’s 55-meter title by crossing the line in 6.47 s after logging a time of 6.43s to win his preliminary heat. Rutherford finished fourth at the meet in the 200-meter dash, but his top time of 21.79s makes him the NEC event leader.
