MacEwen becomes the second Monmouth Hawk to capture the Road Runner Sports NEC Women’s Rookie of the Week award, joining teammate Alison Day who achieved the feat during the season’s opening week. MacEwen took fourth place in the 1000-meter run at last weekend’s Great Danes Classic, finishing in between Villanova’s Shannon Browne and Seton Hall’s Alexa Hehn. Her time (3:02.54) makes her Monmouth’s leader in the event.
