Richards opened his collegiate career by leaping to the front of the Northeast Conference. The first-year Blackbird bested a field of 31 competitors in the long jump at last weekend’s Metro Coaches Invitational. His leap of 7.26m (23’ 10”), which ranks first amongst NEC leaders, landed him first place at the meet while also qualifying him for the IC4A Championships.
