Lau accounted for the two highest single-game point totals by a Northeast Conference rookie this season when St. Francis (NY) hosted NEC rivals Saint Francis (PA) and Robert Morris. The 5-foot-10 freshman averaged 22.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over a trio of conference contests while connecting on 14 of 29 three-point field goal attempts. After tallying nine point and six rebounds in a setback to Central Connecticut State, Lau exploded for 29 points against Saint Francis (PA) and added another 28 against Robert Morris. She made 10 of 15 shots from the field against the Red Flash, including a blistering 7-of-9 clip from downtown. Lau, who played all but one minute during the Terriers’ three-game stretch last week, boosted her season scoring average to a team-leading 13.3 points per game. Her 37 three-pointers made rank second among NEC leaders.
