Abraham earns his league-best third Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week honor after helping the Colonials to a 2-1 record over the holiday season. Abraham averaged 18.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 46.9 percent (15-32) from the field, including a white hot 61.1 percent (11-18) from beyond the arc and 88.2 percent (15-17) from the free-throw line. He came off the bench and led Robert Morris with 13 points in a 71-57 loss to MAC power Kent State on December 22nd. In his first career start, Abraham posted 20 points and five rebounds - both career-highs - along with a pair of steals to spark the Colonials to a 72-67 victory at Youngstown State last Wednesday. His jumper in the paint with 33 seconds to play broke a 67-67 tie and his two free throws with six seconds left on the clock sealed the win. Three nights later Abraham, who hails from Paterson, NJ, established another career-best scoring performance with a team-high 23 points in an 81-79 win over Ohio. In that outing, he matched a Robert Morris freshman record with six three-pointers, including a trey with 2:09 remaining that gave the Colonials the lead for good. Despite playing just 20.9 ppg, Abraham leads Robert Morris and is the NEC's top freshman scorer at 12.0 ppg. He also paces the league in free throw shooting (.882), and ranks third in three-point percentage (.470) and seventh in made three-pointers (2.38/game).
