Wisseh posted his fifth 20-point game of the season on Saturday, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a terrific all-around effort as the Blackbirds fell to Manhattan, 71-61. In claiming his second Choice Hotels NEC Player of the Week award of the season, Wisseh scored six points in a 10-0 LIU run midway through the second half to cut the Jaspers lead to eight points, then converted and an old-fashioned three-point play with 2:12 to play to keep the Blackbirds within striking distance. The Brooklyn native also connected on 6-8 free throws in the game and now ranks third on LIU’s all-time list with 395 career shots from the charity stripe. Wisseh currently ranks third in the NEC with 17.9 points per game and 5.0 assists per game, and is second in both points (1,361) and assists (423) on the league's active career lists.
