Rawsthorne’s performance at the Jeannette Lee Invitational allowed her to regain the NEC Rookie of the Week status she first held in early November. Powering the Panthers to a perfect record (11-0) and fourth-place finish in the final team standings, which were determined by total pinfall, Rawsthorne was responsible for a team-best 19.74 frame average that led all Northeast Conference freshmen at the 20-team event. The rookie bowler was the only Panther to start in all 11 of Adelphi’s victories over the weekend. Accounting for 21.6 percent of the Panthers’ total pinfall, Rawsthorne filled 87 of the 100 frames she bowled. Her 196.33 traditional game average, which helped Adelphi to six victories on the first day of t he two-day meet, landed her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Rawsthorne thrice exceeded the 200-pin mark in traditional play, including a 224 in an 899-830 win over 2009 CIAA champion Elizabeth City. On the way to claiming the second weekly honor of her young collegiate career, Rawsthorne unseated Fairleigh Dickinson’s Danielle McEwan who had won each of the last two NEC Rookie of the Week awards.
