Esposito engineered the Great Danes’ offense to a 41-point showing in a successful season finale at Wagner. The senior quarterback completed his career by going 14-of-21 passing for 248 yards and two touchdowns. He was responsible for four of Albany’s six touchdowns, throwing for two and rushing for another pair. His two rushing touchdowns (8, 1) came within 1:39 of each other and turned a seven-point lead into a 34-14 advantage during the waning minutes of the first half. Averaging 11.8 yards per pass attempt, Esposito surpassed the 200-yard mark for the eighth time in his career. Having posted a 24-11 record in three seasons as a starter, the New Jersey native stands second all-time in UA history for both passing yards and touchdowns (38).
