McCoy scored a Northeast Conference season-high five touchdowns during Duquesne’s 45-42 road win over Sacred Heart. The freshman running back carried 20 times for 121 yards, notching his fourth 100-yard performance. McCoy’s five rushing scores tie a NEC single-game record that was achieved on four prior occasions with the last coming courtesy of David Sinisi in 2007. The rookie’s 13-yard touchdown burst broke a 28-28 tie with 6:09 remaining in the game. His one-yard plunge with fewer than 2:00 remaining extended the Dukes’ advantage to 42-34.
