Borger started her junior season by posting the highest baker frame average (21.15) of any competitor at the eight-team Kutztown Fall Baker Invitational. Competing for the first time in nearly one year’s time, the junior Peahen helped Saint Peter’s to a 3-2 record and 4302 total pinfall. Showing she has fully recovered from the season-ending injury she suffered last November at the Warhawk Classic in Wisconsin, Borger posted a .520 strike percentage while also converting on 78 percent of her spare attempts at Kutztown. The Jersey Shore product filled all her frames in an 873-871 victory over NEC rival Adelphi. She left only one open frame in each of the Peahens’ matches against conference foes St. Francis (NY) and Kutztown. Borger’s baker frame average placed her atop the All-Tournament Team, one spot ahead of 2008-09 all-NEC selection Alexandra Stein of St. Francis (NY).
