Balestrieri becomes the second Bryant Bulldog to capture the Northeast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week Award. The junior won all three matches (one singles, two doubles) he contested at the Lehigh Invitational. In his lone singles match of the weekend, Balestrieri defeated Delaware’s No. 1 player Gokay Celik, 7-6 (6), 7-5. Pairing with Juan-Martin Paredes, Balestrieri posted doubles victories over the No. 2 tandems from both Delaware and tournament host Lehigh. Balestrieri’s selection comes four weeks after his doubles teammate, Paredes, claimed Bryant’s first-ever NEC weekly honor on Sept. 29.
