Yearwood’s rushing success was a key reason why the Red Flash were able to snap a five-game losing streak despite being without their starting quarterback. Yearwood was the central figure in a rushing attack that produced the highest single-game output (409 yards) in the Northeast Conference this season. The junior running back carried 23 times for a career-high 167 yards and one touchdown to power Saint Francis (PA) past NEC rival Duquesne, 31-14. Contributing to the fourth-highest rushing total in all of Division I FCS this year, Yearwood opened the second half by breaking free for a 65-yard run down to Duquesne’s one-yard line. The junior found the end zone on the next play to double Saint Francis’ lead to 14-0. Eight of Yearwood’s rushes resulted in at least a seven-yard gain.
