Casey earns adidas/NEC Defensive Player of the Week for playing her biggest game of the season on Friday as the Blue Devils topped Monmouth to gain sole possession of first place in the Northeast Conference. Casey had 11 saves in the 1-0 shutout victory on Friday afternoon to lead Central to the win. She made an impressive seven saves in the second half alone as the Blue Devils held on for the road victory. On Sunday, in a 3-1 win over Mount St. Mary's, Casey did not allow a goal in 76:33 of action. She made three saves before coming out of the game. She has not allowed a goal in her last 185:36 minutes played and has four shutouts on the year. This is her first honor in 2009.
