Thresher finished third overall out of 69 golfers at The Connecticut Cup Monday and Tuesday, hosted by the University of Connecticut. The senior recorded a three-round score of 218 to earn his third-straight top-10 finish, opening with a 76 and 74 before carding a 68 - the Bulldogs' best round - in Tuesday's final 18 holes. Thresher finished just two shots over par and eight behind the eventual winner. On the two-day Cup, Thresher led Bryant to a second-place team finish and was the only Bulldog to finish in the tournament's top 10. This is the senior’s first NEC Men’s Golfer of the Week honor for 2009-10.
