Downing captures Bryant’s first-ever Northeast Conference women’s tennis weekly award following her contributions to the Bulldogs’ 5-2 victory over Monmouth. Facing her first NEC foe since Bryant joined the conference at season’s start, Downing had little trouble with her No. 1 singles counterpart from MU. The Bulldogs’ top player eased past Diane Washer in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Downing also helped Bryant win the doubles point by teaming with Katie Francazio for a victory in the No. 1 position.
