Doscher accounted for 315 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to power Wagner past Monmouth, 27-24, on the road in Northeast Conference play. The freshman signal caller went 14-of-27 passing for 260 yards and two touchdowns while adding a number of key contributions with his feet. Wagner’s rookie quarterback rushed 14 times for 55 yards, none bigger than his final three carries during the Seahawks’ third-quarter scoring drive. After Monmouth cut Wagner’s lead down to three, 20-17, Doscher responded by driving the team 91 yards on 14 plays and rushing for the eventual game-winning touchdown. The native Staten Islander kept the ball for the final three plays of the Seahawks’ lone second-half scoring drive, rushing for gains of nine, seven, and 14 yards.
