McCoy’s second consecutive 100-yard rushing performance results in his second NEC Rookie of the Week award this season. The freshman running back carried 20 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns in Duquesne’s 34-20 win over cross-town NEC rival Robert Morris. His 13-yard fourth-quarter touchdown run ended Robert Morris’ 20-point rally and gave Duquesne a 14-point cushion with 6:21 remaining in regulation. The rookie Duke rushed five times for 42 yards on the game-sealing scoring drive. McCoy’s first touchdown of the game made the score 20-0 in favor of Duquesne in the final minute of the first half. Averaging 5.3 yards per carry, McCoy rushed for seven of Duquesne’s 26 first downs.
