The 2007 NEC Freshman of the Year won her first career individual title in leading the Pioneers to their sixth straight team victory at the Victor F. Leeber Invitational on Sept. 26. Coming off of a third-place finish last week, DeLoreto crossed the line 29 seconds in front of the 97 participants, clocking in at 18:31 on the 5K course for the gold and her third career top-five finish. The junior has paced SHU in each of the past two events. The outing marked the squad’s 11th win in the past 13 years running at the Fairfield event.
