Heimerle’s record performance was at the forefront of Siena’s highest offensive output since the Saints moved up to the Division I level in 1993. The junior forward notched the program’s first-ever hat trick and added an assist, scoring an all-time Siena single-game high seven points, in a 5-3 win over Colgate. Heimerle doubled Siena’s lead to 2-0 when she scored her first goal of the game in the 16th minute. She upped the Saints’ advantage to 3-0 by opening the second-half scoring in the 41st minute. After Colgate pulled within 4-3, the Saints’ offensive star provided an insurance goal with fewer than 3:00 remaining.
