Blake’s busy weekend at the George Mason Invitational resulted in four victories and a pair of weekly awards. The first-year Mountaineer went 2-1 in both singles and doubles play. Each of his two wins at No. 6 singles were of the straight-sets variety. Blake posted a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Greg Donabedian of host George Mason. The freshman needed far less time to down local rival Loyola’s CJ Chomeau, 6-2, 6-1. Teaming with junior Patrick Plastow, Blake picked up doubles wins over duos from the host Colonials and local rival Greyhounds as well.
