The freshman keeper made two saves in LIU's season-opening 1-0 win over Iona and stepped up against Buffalo on Sunday, making five stops en-route to the Blackbirds 1-0 double overtime victory. The East Greenwich native made a pair of critical diving saves, the first on a 20-yard free kick in the 81st minute and the second when she leapt to tip a high ball over the crossbar in the first overtime period. Bannon's efforts helped preserve the tie, allowing teammate Kim Bishop to notch the game winner 57 seconds into the second OT.
