Shepps provided the late-game heroics that lifted Lock Haven to a pair of one-goal victories. She scored all five of her points (2G, 1A) with fewer than five minutes remaining in regulation. Shepps’ first timely tally broke a 3-3 tie in the 67th minute of Lock Haven’s season-opening comeback victory over Georgetown. One day later, Shepps struck twice within a 1:05 span. With the Lady Eagles trailing Longwood, 1-0, in the waning minutes of their second game in as many days, the sophomore forward stuffed a loose ball into the cage to tie the game with 2:26 remaining. Then, only 75 seconds later, Shepps started a breakaway before sending a perfect pass over to Suzann Hobart who put home the game-winner.
