Jacob went 7-for-19 (.368) at the plate, produced a .478 on-base percentage, tallied five RBI, and scored four runs over a five-game sample. The first-year Hawk started all five games in the outfield and safely hit his way on base in each of the starts. He had a pair of two-hit performances, the first of which came in a mid-week shutout of Garden State rival Saint Peter’s. After going 2-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored against the Peahens, Jacob went 5-for-15 (.333) in a four-game NEC set against Central Connecticut State. He is the third different Hawk (Josh Boyd, Jamie Rosenkranz) to garner Akadema NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season.
