Mike Eliasen Award Akadema/NEC Rookie of the Week Week Of 5/11/2009 Sport Baseball School FDU Year Position Hometown High School Eliasen has hit safely in each of his last 11 games and has recorded an RBI in the previous six. The latest Akadema rookie honoree went 10-for-21 (.476) while scoring seven runs and driving in another seven during last week’s five-game sample. He delivered his first of four multi-hit performances and drove in one of the team’s two runs in a mid-week setback to Rutgers. Eliasen was a key culprit of Fairleigh Dickinson’s offensive explosion that led to a four-game sweep of NEC rival Long Island. The freshman shortstop scored seven of the Knights’ 57 runs during the weekend set. He was the first to cross the plate in the second inning of 5-4 win, the first of two games Saturday. Eliasen followed with a career-high three RBI in the second half of the doubleheader, a 20-12 victory.
