Rosenkranz was as valuable to Monmouth's four-win week as any. The freshman shortstop batted .421 (8-for-19) with eight runs and nine RBI. He hit four home runs on the way to slugging 1.105. The rookie was at his best in the Hawks' rain-shortened set at defending NEC Champion Mount St. Mary's. Rosenkranz reached base seven times, three via the long ball, in 10 plate appearances during the two-game clip. Batting .667, Rosenkranz drove in six runs and scored five more. The first-year Hawk opened the series by blasting a three-run homer as part of a four-hit, four-RBI performance. Far from done, he homered again in the fifth and seventh innings of an 8-1 game two victory over the Mount. Rosenkranz scored a run in the 6-4 win over Rutgers, Monmouth's third straight over the New Jersey rival, and went 2-for-6 with three runs, and two RBI against Saint Peter's. The Akadema Rookie honor is the third for a Monmouth player, the prior two were won by outfielder Josh Boyd.
