A win as a weekend starter and a four-out save in a mid-week game at Rutgers yield Brach the Akadema NEC Pitcher of the Week award. Extremely effective and economical in each of his two appearances last week, Brach was a key component of Monmouth's 4-0 week. The righty posted a 0.00 ERA while allowing only eight base runners to reach over 9.1 innings. Brach struck out 10 batters and walked only one in knocking off defending NEC champion Mount St. Mary's. The righty allowed six hits and one unearned run in 8.0 innings against the Mountaineers, handing a 19-1 lead over to the bullpen. His mid-week appearance, although much shorter, was equally impressive. He entered in the eighth inning with Monmouth clinging to a 6-4 lead, but Rutgers had runners on second and third with two out. Brach promptly snuffed out the threat by striking out the first batter he faced swinging.
