Already owning the Northeast Conference’s top 5000-meter time, Hoffman took over the league lead in a second event at this past weekend’s third annual Red Flash Open. The three-time NEC 5K champion (two indoor, one outdoor) ran a shorter race this past weekend but produced similar results. Hoffman completed the 1500-meter run in 4:42.29 to finish second overall, and first amongst collegians, in a 39-finisher field.
