Gaines was one of four Blackbirds to place in the triple jump at the annual Metropolitan Championships, but the reigning NEC Indoor MVP was far from done. In addition to triple jumping her way to fourth place (11.76m), Gaines logged the NEC’s second-fastest 100-meter hurdle time (14.63) thus far this season. Only Wagner senior Alaina Alfano (14.49) has done it faster. Gaines’ triple jump sits third on the NEC Performance List.
