John’s 100-200 sprint double at the Metropolitan Championships landed him a gold medal, a runner-up finish, a pair of top-three spots on the NEC Performance List, a NCAA regional bid, and his second Road Runner Sports honor of the outdoor season. The senior sprinter flew to victory in the 200-meter dash (21.18) to take over the NEC lead and guarantee himself a trip to the NCAA East Region Championship. John settled for second place in the 100-meter (10.66), but moved up to third on the NEC leader board with his IC4A-qualifying mark.
