Brach follows his teammate Ryan Buch, last week’s winner, to give Monmouth back-to-back Akadema NEC Pitcher of the Week awards. The Hawks’ junior right-hander shut out Garden State rival Fairleigh Dickinson for 8.0 innings to remain undefeated (4-0) in 2009. Brach surrendered only three hits and no runs while striking out seven in an 8-0 NEC victory over the Knights. Displaying his pin-point control throughout the series finale, Brach walked only one and lowered his team-leading ERA to 1.42.
