Wagner claims NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and third time in her career after she anchored a Sacred Heart defensive unit that allowed just seven goals in a 15-4 win over Robert Morris and 16-3 victory over Saint Francis (PA). Wagner rang up 19 saves on the week and posted a .731 save percentage for the first place Pioneers. In Friday's win versus RMU, she had 13 saves and helped keep the league's second highest scoring team without a goal for the final 41:08 of play. She kept the Red Flash off the scoreboard on Sunday for the game's first 36:15 while allowing a season-low three goals. Wagner, who hails from Aurora, CO, owns the NEC's top GAA (9.34) and save percentage (.549). She ranks sixth nationally in both categories.
