Receiving the starting nod in FDU’s series opener against Albany, Meadus twirled a one-hit masterpiece in helping the Knights to a 2-0 victory. The senior southpaw showed his top-of-the-rotation potential by striking out eight Great Danes over 7.0 innings. Two of Albany’s four baserunners came in the first inning when Meadus issued back-to-back one-out walks. The 6-foot-4 left used his pick-off move and a strikeout to get out of trouble and allowed hardly anything else the rest of the way. After Albany’s lone hit with two outs in the third inning, Meadus retired the next 12 hitters in order.
