The 2008 NEC Player of the Year secures her second Player of the Week award this season thanks to her three victories (one singles, two doubles) last week. Wilson spearheaded Quinnipiac’s 6-1 victory over NEC rival Mount St. Mary’s by earning a doubles victory before besting Mount’s No. 1 singles player in straight sets. The Quinnipiac junior moved past her Mountaineer counterpart Emily Bolchoz, 7-5, 6-2. Wilson dropped her singles match in a non-conference team loss to UMBC earlier in the week, but she partnered Adrienne Markison to post a doubles victory against UMBC’s top tandem.
